Warm greetings in Jesus name.
This is to inform you that we were much blessed on Sunday service both in English and vernacular service by Tom’s message.
We got a well bountiful delicious spiritual balanced diet. In English, it was about the grace of God which saves and increases as it produces fruits.
Our fruits mature as long as we walk with the Holly spirit wherever He goes leading us even through fire for our purification and holiness. “Impurities of sins and self righteousness are removed” he said vehemently but empathically with a variant voice of sternness, strictness and tenderness..

Brian and Davy are hosting a cookout at the La Casa Homeless shelter next Tuesday, July 7th at 7:15pm. They could use some help providing food, drinks and interacting with the men at the shelter. During the summer months we are going to be picnicing in Meridian Hill (Malcolm X) Park instead of the potluck. This is a great way to interact with the community and enjoy being outside. Be sure to bring food to share.

September 13th is the day when we will induct all new members and formally welcome members of the Church of the Resurrection who are transferring their memberships to Advent. This will be a day of celebration and feasting. If you are interested in becoming a member, start by attending a Newcomers’ Dinner. There will be more information to follow for current Rez members.

The Newcomers’ Dinner is a great chance to enjoy a meal with others who are exploring the Church of the Advent and is part of the membership process. This is the first Newcomers’ Dinner hosted by Advent and it is an opportunity to get to know Tommy and Laura and other members of the church, while hearing about the history & vision of Advent. The Essentials membership will be offered on Wednesday nights at 7pm at the Hinson House starting July 22nd through August 12th. Do you speak Spanish? Do you desire to develop a greater sense of community with our Spanish-speaking neighbors in Mt. Pleasant? Cafecitos is a group in which we meet to listen to music, drink coffee, chat in Spanish, and build friendships. Don’t be timid– come join us, and invite your friends!
Location: Mt Pleasant
Time: Cafecitos on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, 7:30-9:00pm
On the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, we have a Spanish language bible study, 7-9pm
