Letter from Pastor Deo

Warm greetings in Jesus name.

This is to inform you that we were much blessed on Sunday service both in English and vernacular service by Tom’s message.

We got a well bountiful delicious  spiritual balanced diet.  In English, it was about the grace of God which saves and increases as it produces fruits.

Our fruits mature as long as we walk with the Holly spirit wherever He goes leading us even through fire for our purification and holiness.   “Impurities of sins and self righteousness are removed” he said vehemently but empathically with a variant voice of sternness, strictness and tenderness..

We shortly learned a lot of main biblical doctrines namely:  justification ( salvation by grace),  progressive sanctification( growing toward Jesus righteousness)  as we more and more be transformed in Jesus likeness through furnace of different circumstances factors contributing to our maturity.

What a message! It was   moving one to awake our  sleeping African souls .  On one hand a message typical to an ideal most applauded african evangelist.  What a message!  It was also  on the other hand full of insight such as that of a well trained pastor  and psychologist approved American evangelist.

What a message.! It was characterized  by a relevance and continuity of straightforward words matching with a well balanced and meaningful magnetic gestures.  His eyes were piercing, his words dissecting, his movements arithmetically and majestically coordinated.

The message in a vernacular Sunday service was as effective as that of the morning in English service.

INTRODUCTION

It was taken from John 11: 30-40  .the key words:  the sheep of jesus.   The voice of the

good shepherd.   The calling voice of the shepherd.    The hearing of the sheep.  The following of the sheep.  The protection  by the mighty shepherd.  The safety of the obedient following sheep.

DEVELOPMENT OR BODY OF THE MESSAGE.:  TRHEE MAJOR POINTS

The Lazarus identity

Lazarus was a friend to Jesus.  Thus his sheep.  Lazarus is buried as a sheep of Jesus the good shepherd.  Jesus the good mighty shepherd called him from the tomb.   Lazarus as a sheep hears the mighty resurrecting powerful voice of the good shepherd and comes back to life.  NB  lazarus knew whom he is vis a vis of Jesus.  I know my sheep and they also know my voice.

APPLICATION

If we are jesus sheep, don’t worry about any kind of tomb you may be buried into.  Jesus can take you out of it if at all you respond to his calling and follow him.

And Deo to insert:

What you believe you are determines your feelings and your feelings influence your attitude and your attitude leads your   actions  and your actions determine your destiny. End of  insertion

The 2nd point was about the deliberate delay of Jesus

While Lazarus was agonizing jesus deliberately went away only to come back after Lazarus had died.  The words of marry was challenging but full of ignorance about God’s providential care and wisdom. “if you been here my brother would not have died”

APPLICATION

What would you have said?  Did you ever experience the situation when you ask and God delays responding?  If this be the case, do not worry about God’s timming.  Just wait and find out the greater answers.

The third point:  the  angry Jesus

Jesus was angry said the preacher. “ He was angry at the enemy:  the death and the death causer; the sin.  Jesus came to defeat those enemies.  In order to make it, He pursued  them into the tomb and  conquered them by His own death.”

APPLICATION

Jesus is for you and his heart beats for you.  He loves you and is very concerned with you problems.  He fights on your side and wants you to settle down as you lean on his mighty loving power

The following  is my own inclusion and addition. The arithmetic teaches: minus(  - L )-( L)= +L . I mean that  Satan  subtracted, took away, cheated our divine life. (- L) and Jesus lost his own life of himself( -L) . the result is amazing.  The two different natures of minus or loosing of life produced a masterpiece of a new positive divine creature.( a new born believer) 1cor.5:17.

What about Jesus’ spiritual energy given to us and what do we do of them??? Allow me dear readers to explain that as you know better, there is two kind of energies:  the gravitational potential energy and kinetic energy., says the Physics.

The potential energy is a stored energy which  an object has because of its position or condition.   It is gravitational  if it is held in a position which it can fall under the influence of gravity.

NB many Christians have got storage of Jesus’power and promises.  Unfortunately they do not use all these means of grace in them to do and achieve their mission in this world. They are idle and yet the harvest is ripe.  They are careless and less focused as regard the kingdom of Christ .  It seems they ignore why they are saved for. They became spoon feeding Christians. Briefly they have all needed but do not use them.

They are rather heavily gravitating in a satanic gravitational field whereby flesh and

temptations took them captive  and risk to fall down in a world of satanic magnetic field

under the influence of satanic gravity pull.

What about the kinetic energy? Ek

The kinetic energy is a released potential energy in an object. The kinetic energy is the energy possessed by an object because it is moving.  It  equals to  a work done.  It is a converted potential energy into a work.

When jesus gives his life or energizing power of the Spirit we are empowered for a purpose.Acts 1:8.  We easily respond  and fulfill His mission.  We do not do it because we are forced or in a stereotyped way but the  kinetic energy of  Jesus accelerates us such that we feel moved and we do things with love for Jesus and compassion toward the perishing and hopeless human beings.

So the kinetic energy of the Holly Spirit meaning good works and obedience will make us  victorious Christians full of joy, peace as we remain cross bearing ones.

The physics’ formula of the kinetic energy shed light as an illustration on what is said above.

Kinetic energy Fk  gained by an object of a mass m = the work done by a resultant force F, giving  an acceleration a.  Ek= Fxd(distance) moved s in the direction of F(force)

Fk=  kinetic energy  m= mass of an object.  a= acceleration  s=distance.

So Ek= (ma) x s=m x (as) ect ect

My purpose is not teaching physics but this illustration is for real.   Let us take analogy as follows:  an object or a human being has got a mass m

The  Holly Spirit is the force giving an acceleration a.

The type of work to be done or temptation to overcome is the distance s( something to conquer or to test the nature of personality or the fruit of our labor.

Now , NB if there is the Holly Spirit who here equals Force to accelerate.  Our sinful heavily loaded nature will be able to push further, to conquer , to bear fruits and to have some works done according to the Holly Spirit injunctions. NB because of F accelerating toward any given direction, the mass follows and goes in the direction of F.  Amen!!!!!! I like it.  It just only means when we are under the Holly Spirit influence and leadership we inexorably follow His way, do his deeds and cannot be led astray.  I like that.  Amen!!!!!!

NB what about Christians who are alike objects with potential energy.

The only difference is  lack of the Moving force of the Holly Spirit which moves them in His direction to do something tangible and reliable.

Briefly they are Christians who do not do anything  despite all whatever is stored in them.

Nb what is missing in them;  possibly the Holly Spirit in them or the obedience to Him.

A THEOLOGICAL QUESTION.

Is it possible for a Christian to be a Christian without the Holly Spirit? The answer is not.  All real Christians , born again believers possess Him.  What do I say then.   I mean that you can be having the Holly One and yet quench him or resist him or disobey Him. The work of the flesh can suffocate Him and stop him from bearing fruits and manifesting His gifts.

NB We need to be continually refreshed by the divine anointing See Acts19:1-3
